“ This place was worth the price and the wait. It is a pretty popular spot so you have to make a reservation in person or by phone. Reservations can be made in the same day but it will likely be an hour or more out from when you make the reservation. You'll pay a 1000 yen deposit per pancake order you anticipate having. When it's your time to dine. The experience is incredible. They make the pancakes right in front of you and the presentation is so good! The pancakes themselves were incredible! We ordered 3 sets of pancakes a strawberry pistachio set, a chocolate banana nut set, and a classic honey & butter set. So delicate and fluffy and of course they had the classic souffle pancake jiggle. We saw someone order the eggs Benedict with bacon set that had us wishing we had ordered that! All in all so good and worth. ”
“ Benitsuru Pancakes truly lives up to its reputation! The pancakes are incredibly fluffy and flavorful—absolutely worth the wait. Reservations start at 7am, but I arrived at 6am and was already third in line, so be prepared to get there early if you want to snag a spot. The whole experience, from the cozy atmosphere to the meticulous presentation, really sets this place apart. One important tip: bring cash, as you'll need to leave a deposit when making your reservation. If you're a fan of pancakes or just looking for a unique foodie experience in Tokyo, this spot is a must-visit! ”
“ We had a pleasant experience at Benitsuru and would definitely return. We ordered the original (honey & butter) pancakes and the chocolate & roasted nut banana pancakes! They were delicious. Service was good and very streamlined. I recommend arriving as early as 7am to secure a reservation - they only take same day reservations for the fluffy pancakes. Amazing experience for our first trip to Tokyo! ”
“ Fantastic experience at Benitsuru Pancake! Process: To reserve our spot we arrived at the restaurant at 6:55am. There were about 40 people in front of us. A guy who was first in line mentioned he arrived at 5:30am, which for us seemed like an overkill. Promptly at 7am they started giving out reservation slots and at about 7:15 we received ours. The earliest option for 2 was 12:30 so that's what we took. A couple in front of us took the 11:30 slot. I would say unless you need a very specific time slot we do not see much merit in coming in earlier than 6:55am. However, if you come at 7:30 you might not get a spot. They had a sign saying they stop giving reservation spots at 7:45am Food & Atmosphere: Pancakes were extremely flavorful, fluffy, light and simply delicious. The pancakes with egg, bacon and hollandaise was a dream breakfast item. The original (plain) w/ honey one was a hit as well, since it allowed us to fully experience the deliciousness and lightness of the dough. We highly recommend that combo. We took chocolate sauce on the side but almost didn't want to use it as the pancake itself was so good. We left the restaurant feeling full and happy but not heavy and disgusted with ourselves :D What shocked us is that the atmosphere inside was so calm, cosy and peaceful. This is primarily thanks to the restaurant staff, who while efficient, is not rushing. We loved that! Is it worth the hype effort: Yes! If you have very limited time in Tokyo you might want to think if you have time to do this. However, putting your name down and then exploring Asaksa for a few hours might be a really good idea! ”
“ We got in line at 8AM for our reservation and we got 12:45. There was approximately 20 people in front of us in line. Restaurant opens at 10:00 AM so we we walking around and did some shopping and ate breakfast at McDonald’s around the corner from the restaurant. We made the pancakes our lunch. The pancakes were awesome and as good as they looked. Cooks were serous and busy cooking each order. Only 14 seats at the counter and no tables in the restaurant. It was worth the wait. I recommend getting in line at 7AM if yea t an early morning reservation. ”
“ We had an amazing experience at Benitsuru. The souffle pancakes were incredibly flavorful and delicious. The flavors blended in perfect harmony, making it clear that every detail counts. The pancakes were prepared with such care, and we had the pleasure of enjoying a meal that left us craving more and more! Be sure to make a reservation—otherwise, you’ll need a lot of luck to get a seat! ”
“ Definitely on the pricier side, but the pancakes are incredible!! You have to get there early in the day to make a same day reservation which may not be until the afternoon which is a bit inconvenient if you're not planning on being nearby. I wasn't, but I'm still delighted I went! Incredible pancakes. So, so tasty!! ”
“ Their pancakes are really soft and fluffy. The bacon and egg pancake is the bomb - nice balance between sweet and savoury as well as multi-dimensional texture between the softness of the pancakes and cripsy texture of the grilled bacon. If you are a fan of oozing egg yolk like me, you would love it. The seasonal strawberry white chocolate pancake with pistachio sauce is really good too - the pistachio sauce isn’t too sweet so you won’t get sick of finishing it, but it is a double-edged sword as the strawberries may overpower it at times. Their coffee is pretty decent too. However, do note that they only allow a limited number of reservations a day and you can only reserve physically at 8.30am on that day itself. We reached at 9.05am and we were the last customers to be able to reserve a spot for 4.30pm. Hence, go down early to reserve it. No regrets though! ”
